Attorney Kevin E. McKay
Kevin McKay graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998 cum laude with a dual degree in business administration and interdisciplinary studies. This led him to a career in the financial sector for over a decade, where he gained valuable experience analyzing equities and financial statements of financial institutions.
Kevin soon found himself wanting to further his education and decided that law school was the right challenge for him. After graduating from law school, Kevin completed a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Judge Timothy J. Martin, Head of the Family Law Division, Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. It was here he discovered his passion for family law.
Following law school Kevin entered private practice, practicing exclusively domestic relations for several years in Baltimore County. He moved to Colorado in 2018 where he continued his domestic relations legal practice.
Kevin’s background in finance gives him the edge when it comes to the financial components of divorce. His experience helps his clients navigate the division of assets, including complicated assets such as stock options, restricted stock units, and the division of retirement funds.
When Kevin isn’t zealously advocating for his clients you can find him enjoying all that Colorado has to offer, including hiking, snowboarding and skiing. He also makes fabulous ice cream.
